Obesity and type 2 diabetes are arguably Australia's biggest and fastest-growing health issue, and despite medical interventions, we are not succeeding in turning this trend around. Drug therapies have their place, but it's time to rethink the management of lifestyle, exercise and diet. We are re-imagining diabetic control and bringing motivation for change into the process.

Our Mission

To develop simple, scalable and low cost interventions to change the trajectory of obesity and diabetes in Australia, to motivate those at risk to improve their health and as a result, to live a healthier and fuller life

Life is short, the art long, opportunity fleeting, experience treacherous, judgement difficult. The physician must be ready, not only to do his duty himself, but also to secure the cooperation of the patient, of the attendants, and of externals..
— Hippocrates, Greek Physician

What We're doing in the study

  • Motivating them to improve in the areas of exercise, diet and lifestyle, by
  • Providing feedback and incentives for them to change in those areas, to
  • Improve measurable risk factors and improve their health outcomes
